Searching makes http server to CRASH

Hello,
2-3 weeks ago, I sumitted a bug because my rt3 installation was crashing when I was performing a certain quick search (text box top right of screen). I am using Apache 2 and fastcgi and that is the component that crashes. The way to reproduce the problem is to seach for a number (no letters) i.e. 14. No quotes not nothing, just digit. My http server replies with an internal server error and RT3 is down until the web server is restarted.
I am using rt 3.0.7 and I tested rt 3.0.8 and noticed the same behaviour. Yesterday, I was a little bit curious to see what the developers did with my bug request. I saw that they decided not to check it (is is in the items not filed). So I decided to test that directly on their site… The search result was a ticket found (ticket->id = myInt). This is the feature I was looking for!!
Ok, now, what is the problem ?? Is it here, in house installation problem ? Is it a problem related to fastcgi utilisation ?? In order to help me discover what the problem is , I would need other users to test this operation and send the result to the list including their fast cgi version and their http server version.

Thansk!
