Scrip Email Specific People on Custom Field Change

I have a select multiple custom field. When choice 1 is selected, I would like to email 4 specific people who are not associated with the ticket (not requestor/cc/etc). How would one write a scrip for this? Would these people have to be added as a requestor or cc? They aren’t concerned with receiving any other notifications about these tickets otherwise.

Also, are there any good scrip tutorials anywhere? It’s a bit of a foreign language to me.
