RTIR & RT compatibility issues

Hi all,

I managed to install RT3.011 without any problems on a server and
proceeded to have a play around with it (creating users, tickets, etc)
and did so without any dramas.

The second I installed RTIR over the top, it completely buggered up the
configuration.

Now I have two primary issues:

  1. The login screen resembles a bunch of ascii characters with a button
that goes nowhere (I’d post a screendump but the mailing list rejects
    the message then).

  2. It has also somehow nuked the rt-mailgate config as well and now I’m
getting undeliverables nonstop (I’d post a sample delivery failure but
I’m not sure that will get through the list filters either).

Re:

  1. I assume that the original config and users are still there, just the
    configuration is cactus.
  2. I don’t know why this broke it worked fine before. No changes were
made to the aliases file beyond the instructions.

The server is running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Perl 5.8.4, RT3.011,
RTIR 1.05, Apache 1.3.31 (if other config info is required please don’t
hesitate to ask).

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

All my emails from RT include a “Sender: root@mydomain.com” header which
produces a “root@mydomain.com on behalf of actualuser@mydomain.com” on
Outlook’s From line.
How can I remove or modify this header?

TIA,
Scott Carpenter

I answer this fairly often. Check the faq, or the list archives. Even
the old rt 2.0 rtfm entry is valid.
