RT WebUI suggestion: on change queue & keywords add

Hi,

When modifying a ticket, I can change status, subject etc, and edit the relevant keywords, but as soon as I change the queue, the keyword changes are ignored.

I realise that this would be due to the fact that keywords are not neccesarily the same for different queues.

Would it not be better then to seperate these screens, thus seperating “Basics” and “Keyword Selection”?

Separate them if you want; it isn’t hard. Basically you’ll want to make
a copy of Ticket/Modify.html with a new name, then remove one of those
things from one file and t’other thing from t’other one.

Then tweak Ticket/Elements/Tabs so that the tabs appearing at the top
correspond to the pages you now have (maybe inserting Bb => ‘Keywords’)
in that hash) and change one of the box headings in
Ticket/Elements/ShowSummary.

Note that I haven’t done any of the above – I’ve actually been doing
the opposite, and combining things together to reduce the number of
pages people have to visit to change several things related to a ticket.
But what you’re wanting is similar in terms of the location and
magnitude of changes required, so I’ve reasonable confidence in the
above suggestions.

Maybe the fact that the two of us each want to make changes in opposite
directions to each other can probably be taken as indication that the
current default set-up is about right …
