RT-Mailgate rejects emails from "Free" email accounts e.g. aol.com, excite.com

Hello,

RT-Mailgate is rejecting emails from a variety of web based email accounts like excite.com and aol.com. It seems that an error occurs when Encode.pm is trying to process the message data.

I have included the error message below. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Broken spam is breaking Encode. What version of RT are you running? Does
3.0.5pre2 fix it?
