Referencing custom field in template

Hi,
I’ve searched the list archives and found that this question has been
asked a couple of times, but I never found that anyone answered the
question…

I have a queue with a custom field, and now I want to reference the
custom field value in a template. Can someone tell me what the syntax
would be? E.g. something like:

but obviously that doesn’t work.

In relation to Leigh’s question, I am also trying to reference the
comments in the “Resolved” comments in a template to be sent to the
requestor so that they know what the resolution of their problem was,
but can’t seem to get it done.
Can someone advice?
