Problems trying to install RT

I’m new to RT. Anyone on this list migrated from Remedy to RT?

I’m trying to get it installed on Redhat 9 and I think it’s close. When
I try to hit the web page I get the following error. Anyone know why?

When I run the dependency check it passes everything except
Apache::Request. Could it be causing this problem? Not sure how to fix
it. I’m running httpd from Redhat.

Thanks,
James

I was able to get Apache::Request compiled, tested, and
successfully installed from CPAN by running “perl -MCPAN -e shell”
as a non-root user, with sufficient privileges to write what it
needed to write in /usr/lib/perl5. It always failed when I tried to
use the root account to compile and test it.

Turns out I’m running Apache 2.0.40. I tried setting the web-user flag
to nobody, but I still have the same problem. How can I tell which to
use?

There are no error in my httpd logs.

Also, my system passes all the dependencies using modperl2, so I guess
I’ll be using that.

Any help is appreciated.

Mine may not be the best answer, but when I see this I usually run (as
root) “chown -r apache.apache /opt/rt3” and everything is good again.

I had the same problem and I fixed it by using the web user flag
