Problems to send mail

good afternoon,

first of all, sorry by my bad english… :frowning:

i’ll try to explain my problem here:

  • I have one queue with the following reply address : user@example.com
  • My domain is : @foo.bar

When RT try to send a mail message to user@example.com i get the
following error:

user@example.com: host smtp.example.com[XXX.XXX.XXX.96] said: 554 5.7.1
user@example.com: Relay access denied (in reply to RCPT TO command)

My Question:
Rt don’t work with more than one domain?
How can i fix this error?

It should.

How can i fix this error?

This a misconfiguration of your SMTP server, not a RT problem.

It highly depend on your SMTP software and rules. You should look at
relay configuration on it (does it have the IP of your RT server in
network relayed parameters (mynetworks in postfix for example)?, is
example.com a valid domain and if not, maybe you have some rules to
control domain validity on your smtp, …)
