Please help: error in rt2

Hi,

I got this error recently and can’t log in unless I restart my httpd.
[Tue Nov 25 22:23:01 2003] [error] [client x.x.x.x] FastCGI: server
“/opt/rt2/bin/mason_handler.fcgi” stderr: DBD::mysql::st execute failed:

[Tue Nov 25 22:23:01 2003] [error] [client x.x.x.x] FastCGI: server
“/opt/rt2/bin/mason_handler.fcgi” stderr: RT::Handle=HASH(0x86e92a8)
couldn’t execute the query ‘SELECT * FROM Users WHERE Name = ?’ at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/DBIx/SearchBuilder/Handle.pm line 417,
line 2., referer: https://crosspoint.dyndns.org/rt2/

I am using fastcgi. This problem happened after I did 2 things recently.

  1. update to MySQL 4.0.x (from Redhat 8.0 stocked Mysql 3.x.x)
  2. install rt3.0.7 (so as all the dependent module)

After these 2 events, I, once a while, got this rt2 error in error_log
from httpd.

Please help.

Is the MySQL server really going away, or is the database
handle timing out? Check your MySQL logs for signs of
restart.
