Heya.
Having various problems getting an upto date version of perl going on our rt
box, for that reason I would like to run RT of a test compile or perl, that may not
work, how/where can I change where RT is looking for perl??

RT uses mod_perl, so whatever perl you used to build mod_perl is the
one that RT will use. 
How to make mod_perl use an alternate perl is most likely defined in
the mod_perl docs.
