Order history purely by date?

When viewing history of a ticket, we get the items ordered by type
first, then by date. That is, all status changes show up grouped
together, ordered by date, followed by ownership changes, ordered by
date, and so on. This is somewhat counter-intuitive. I also seem to
remember this not always being the case, although I could well be
hallucinating that bit. Is there a way to change this?

I’ve never, never seen this. Are you running vanilla RT?

This sounds similar to a mysql index/sort issue found in older
versions of mysql, pre 4.0.12 or so.
