It’s not needed; IE, Mozilla, and Galeon try to retrieve it just to have
a fancy icon for bookmarks.
But someone sent this (attached) to rt-devel recently, if you want to
have one. Put it in NoAuth/images/favicon.ico under the RT web
directory, add “AddType image/x-icon .ico” to httpd.conf, and restart
apache. (Or so it’s reported…)

That won’t work without the patch that I sent to rt-devel.
Just putting the favicon.ico to /opt/rt2/WebRT/html/favicon.ico should
do the trick in this case.
