Link button in rich text editor

My users report that the button to insert a link has disappeared in the rich text editor in RT 5.0 (we just upgraded from 4.4.3). Is there a way to get it back?

I think I see the button being removed in share/static/RichText/config.js, but editing that file didn’t bring it back.
