Error on new install of RT 3.6.1

I am getting the following error when trying to create a new
ticket.

[Wed Aug 23 00:30:14 2006] [crit]: After display call; error is
(/opt/rt3/share/html/Ticket/Create.html:301)

I am running mod_perl 2.0.2 and http-2.0.59 on the system

with a MySQL -4.1.12-3. The machine is a RHEL4 box, anyone have thoughts
on what this error is?

Thanks,

–Eric Gunnett

I am getting the following error when trying to create a new

ticket.

It’s a debugging statement and should be safe to ignore.

The problem is the ticket is not created and the Create.html
generates a white page. This is the only error in the logs. I have
confirmed the database is up and running that RT can connect to the
database, but there is no ticket created.

Thanks,

I am having the same problem as the previous guy.

Create a new ticket and this:

Then just a white page at Create.html

Any help appreciated.

Just another note on this issue, I have not resolved it and
am hand compiling Apache have tried 2.0.54, 2.0.58, and 2.0.59 with
mod_perl 2.0.2. Also have went through the perl modules and verified
they have all installed correctly. I am worndering if one of the new
modules has broke the system in some way.

RedHat Enterprise 4 with the latest patches?

I am actually using RHEL4 U3 on the system since they released
U4 recently we are a little behind.

I’ve been hearing reports of this problem with folks in RHEL4 with
recent updates. I have yet to find out what it is.

Another interesting note I have the exact same config working
with RHEL4U3 on two other machines. So this leads me back to the perl
modules on the system.

If you can go to “Configuration → Tools”, you can get a list of all
loaded perl modules. can you compare the two lists?

I removed a few lines with regards to the configuration. Also

Another interesting note I have the exact same config working
with RHEL4U3 on two other machines. So this leads me back to the perl
modules on the system.

If you can go to “Configuration → Tools”, you can get a list of all
loaded perl modules. can you compare the two lists?

Thanks,
–Eric Gunnett

U4 recently we are a little behind.

Just another note on this issue, I have not resolved it

and

am hand compiling Apache have tried 2.0.54, 2.0.58, and 2.0.59 with
mod_perl 2.0.2. Also have went through the perl modules and verified
they have all installed correctly. I am worndering if one of the new
modules has broke the system in some way.

RedHat Enterprise 4 with the latest patches?

Thanks,

–Eric Gunnett

I am having the same problem as the previous guy.

Create a new ticket and this:

[Thu Aug 24 17:21:21 2006] [error] [client 172.25.1.142] FastCGI:
server
“/opt/rt3/bin/mason_handler.fcgi” stderr: [Fri Aug 25 00:21:21 2006]
[crit]: After display call; error is
(/opt/rt3/share/html/Ticket/Create.html:301)

Then just a white page at Create.html

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

I apologize for that the right column is the working server and
the left column is the none working server. Also the .diff is just a txt
file.

Okay been up most of the night debugging this issue module by
module. Have a few thoughts on it now. I have my server working on
RHEL4.3 at this moment. I have attached the diffs of the working systems
and then of the none working configuration.
My “best” guess is some of the XML modules were compiling and
installing but were changing the way XML::Simple was working with RT. So
when I removed perl and all the modules once again leaving out all the
extra XML modules things started working.
On a side note also HTML-Mason-1.33 has a dependency of mod_perl
1, which after this module was reinstalled, force me to go back to my
mod_perl-2.0.2 and reinstall.
I hope this helps someone with the same problem.
