Error deleting user from group

Hello rt-users,
I cannot remove one of our trainees from our list of staff within RT.
When I try removing her from the group of IT people, I get the
following error in my apache error.log:

mytop doesn’t show any running queries, and the apache instance
running my session uses up all available cpu. Killing the apache
instance returns everything back to normal until I try to delete her
from the group of staff again.

Any ideas?

This is with RT 3.4.4 on debian 3.1/unstable with perl 5.8.8,
DBIx::SearchBuilder 1.39, apache 1.3.3 with mod_perl1
