Custom status name format

Hello Everyone,

Is it possible to set custom statuses with spaces or other special
characters, such as a dash or underscore, in the name?

I’ve tried using a dash. It gets displayed properly in the drop down
list, and I can even select it. But, when the change is committed, RT
returns the error, Illegal value for Status.

What’s the allowed format for status names?
