Creating a user with ExternalAuth::LDAP in place?

We’re using ExternalAuth::LDAP in 4.4.2.

I cannot create an RT “local” account (“could not update user info”).

Is this known?

And is the workaround to temporarily turn off all ExternalAuth stuff, create the account, then turn it back on?

We had a similar issue using a SAML based SSO system and still needing some users to have local login. M’colleague @greenjimll mentioned it on the forum a while back

W’ve not tested it in anger, but it does allow us to have external auth users and local auth ones. Ive raised it with BP, so if we’re lucky, their shiny new software engineer can take a look
