Yes, I have started something like a webinterface.
But the CLI isn’t to handy, I got some problems with newlines
in the text and until now I couldn’t work out
how to attach files.
Anyway, here are the basics of what I did:
Create a virtual host with standard directives in the Apache
which is also serving the RT stuff.
Create a sinmple HTML form with some dropdowns and textfields.
The collected data are sent to a perl script which is calling
the CLI-tool.
So the users can create a ticket via this page, all following
communication is done by mail.
I think there’s no need to post all the details.
Whoever is interested, contact me.
BTW: SuSE Linux 8.2, Mysql 3.23.55, Apache 1.3.27,
RT 3.0.8, RTFM 2.0.2

Betreff: [rt-users] ‘simple’ interface for rt3
I have some staff here that only has to accomplish a very
small number of
tasks within the RT interface, and presenting something with
less options
would be helpful. (i.e. read, reply, that’s it.)
Has there been any projects that construct a simpler
interface for rt3,
perhaps web pages that call the command-line tool?
