Auto-creating child tickets

I’ve applied the approval creation explanations on the wiki to an
auto-child ticket creation. However, the child tickets don’t appear in
the queue I’ve set them to. Looking in the database, I see that the
tickets do exists and they are in the queue they are supposed to be in
but they aren’t in the GUI. Anyone know what I should be looking at to
resolve this?

Right now I’m working with a clean database with no actual users and
logging in as root. That said, I’ve added all rights necessary for
modifying and seeing tickets to the Everyone group. I can see tickets
which I’ve created directly in the target queue. Just not those created
by the automated process.

*I’m logged in as root (SuperUser rights).
*I’ve not assigned any rights to any other user or group (with one exception;
see below).
*I’m creating a ticket in one queue for which the Auto-ticket creation is
configured.
*I can see this ticket and do everything associated with it.
*The queue into which the auto-created ticket goes has the following rights for
everyone: CommentOnTicket, CreateTicket, ModifyTicket, OwnTicket, ReplyToTicket,
SeeQueue, ShowTicket, ShowTicketComments, TakeTicket.
*If I create a ticket directly in the auto-created ticket’s target queue I can
see it.
*The only tickets which don’t show up are those created automatically.

Any further assistance on this issue will be infinitely appreciated.

I figured out the problem. I wasn’t setting the Type to ‘ticket’ in the template.
