Apache error with Mod_perl

This is my first install with RT so I probably missed something, but when I
start Apache with the configuration described on the web site I get the
followinf error:

Can’t locate object method “TIEHASH” via package "Apache::Table"at
…/Mason/ApacheHandler.pm line 365

compilation failed webmux.pl line 20

Any idea what’s wrong?
