Hi together, it looks like a bad day for Mail/Attachments…
Just a few minutes ago a user reports problems with mails he sent out via RT webui with attachments.
OK, what i figured out so far:
- Attachment Size: 800KB (allowed are 8000KB)
- User added at the reply screen a list of 20 people as cc
- The list of CC’ed People is 1250 characters long
- RT shows the mail (Show Outgoing Mail) correctly with all Cc’ed people
- Users get the mail totally destroyed!
Problem:
- The CC list is cut after 994 characters, in the middle of an address
- The rest of the people from the cc list are the first part of the body
- The attachment is corrupted.
- The encoding for content is incorrect, german umlaute are broken.
The body looks like this:
agel.com, user1@company.com, user2@company.com, user3@company.com, user4@company.com, user5@company.com, user6@company.com, user7@company.com, user8@company.com
MIME-Version: 1.0
X-RT-Original-Encoding: utf-8
Content-type: multipart/mixed; boundary=“----------=_1221049687-28898-8”
This is a multi-part message in MIME format…
