3.0.1pre2: root cannot change ticket owner

Hi,

I try to utilize OnOwnerChange condition.
In order to test it, I try to change the owner of an existing ticket,
being logged as root.

In Ticket/ModifyPeople.html, when I try to select another owner,
“save changes” gives the following result:

You can only reassign tickets that you own or that are unowned

When I try to make the ticket unowned (selecting the dash empty user from the
Owner listbox), “save changes” doesn’t give any effect at all.

In addition, I created a new ticket within the web interface, and assigned
the owner to it at the time of creation. I expected the new owner
to receive the notification, but he didn’t.
The global scrip looks as follows:

On Owner Change Notify Owner with template Transaction

Hi
I’ve translated RT to spanish, but there is still some parts in english (at
least the mails sent to requestors, which I consider most important). I’ve
found the file etc/initialdata, containing those strings in english
(“Greetings, this messages has been automatically generated…”. I’ve
translated it, and it works but…
Is there any support multilanguage for those strings? I mean, is planned to
include them into “es.po” file?

If not, I think I should change this file every time I upgrade… right?

PD: I can send the translated file if anyone wants it. I don’t know if I’ve
translated all strings, or if I’ve translated strings that should stay
untouched…

Eventually, we’ll figure out a better solution for the mail templates,
but right now, you’ll need to update them once for your organization and
then they’ll stay that way across upgrades.

Does your current version differ from the version that you sent me and
is currently included in the RT 3.0.0 release?

best,
jesse

Perhaps you should have a look at the manual. Particularly the bits on
stealing and ownership. On Mon, Apr 14, 2003 at 03:18:07AM -0700, Stanislav Sinyagin wrote:
